Freight forwarder delivery from far warehouse to near warehouse? Amazon hammers the logistics chaos, and will be banned if violating the rules.

1000logistics learned that in its 2023 outlook, the freight intelligence platform Xeneta said that under the extremely challenging market environment, the volume of ocean freight transport in 2023 may decline by 2.5%.

The freight rate has been diving all the way, and no one is interested in containers. It can be seen that with the decline of demand, this year's container transport market is no longer popular. The freight forwarders who once made a lot of money by stepping on the air vents also fell to the bottom.

In order to compete for customers, freight forwarders began to sell at low prices and use all kinds of martial arts. This also makes the freight forwarding circle, which is already a mess, more and more turbid, and all kinds of thunderstorms come in a stream.

In addition to low price declaration and money collection, there is also a common phenomenon that the warehouse is changed secretly, which greatly delays the seller's delivery time. Now, Amazon has upgraded the system, and this kind of black box operation will be completely exposed in the sun

From rejection to registration? Freight forwarder makes profits by delivering goods from far warehouse to near warehouse

In the tail end delivery link, many unscrupulous freight forwarders, in order to save costs, deliberately send the wrong warehouse or unload nearby by taking advantage of such interfaces as warehouse explosion. For example, the seller originally created a warehouse in America China or East America, while the freight forwarder secretly delivered the goods to the hot warehouse in America and West America. It is reported that the special AGL truck of Maxi Warehouse is very cheap, while the Maxi Car costs thousands of dollars, from which the freight forwarder earns the difference.

This may also lead to the goods being rejected and transshipped by Amazon as being delivered to another warehouse, ranging from the loss of the whole shipment to the direct registration and an extra transshipment fee.

A seller revealed that he had encountered unscrupulous freight forwarders and truck companies a few months ago. In order to improve profits, he sent a large number of goods from American Chinese and American Eastern warehouses to American Western hot warehouses, which led to a big explosion of several American Western warehouses. The difference between the back-end costs of Huamei Western and American Eastern became huge profits, which made the seller's goods far from being on the shelves after signing for receipt.

Another seller with the same problem said that the freight forwarder lied to him that the truck dealer and Amazon had signed a third-party truck delivery service cooperation agreement, which could send warehouses nearby to improve the speed of goods on the shelves.

In the past, it was difficult for sellers to know this kind of black box operation of the freight forwarder in time. However, recently, Amazon has revised the shipment page, so that sellers can directly view the warehousing information of the shipment and know its specific delivery address.

As can be seen from the figure below, the seller's shipping address is STL4 warehouse, but actually it is sent to LGB8 warehouse.

Some customer service personnel also said that although the wrong warehousing address does not generate additional costs, it may cause rejection by Amazon, affect the warehousing performance and further confiscate the shipping authority.

Many sellers speculate that this is actually more like a bug in Amazon's system. Almost all sellers have registered in a disorderly manner, and even US Air Dispatch has the same situation.

As shown in the figure below, the shipment is delivered by UPS. After checking, the shipping address has been signed and received without error, but Amazon system displays three warehouses. There are also some goods delivered by the whole container, and the truck driver at the end also confirmed that they were successfully delivered to the original warehouse, but the actual address still does not match. Therefore, it seems more like a transfer within Amazon.

To sum up, there are three main reasons for inconsistent warehousing addresses:

Freight forwarder delivers goods from far warehouse to near warehouse to earn price difference

The truck driver at the end delivers the warehouse at will

Amazon internal transit or system vulnerability

Here, 1000logistics also suggests that all sellers pay attention to the logistics information in a timely manner, choose reliable and reliable freight forwarding channels, and pay attention to risk sharing
